n8n Pricing for India: Budgeting Cloud Plans vs Self-Hosting

n8n pricing India: no rupee price is published in our sources, so here is how to budget from EUR list prices, count executions and weigh self-hosting.

n8n pricing in India: why there is no INR price here

If you are searching for n8n pricing India, start with the scope: the sources we reviewed contain no rupee price, no GST treatment and no India-region hosting costs. They do document the plan structure and euro list prices, and that is enough to build a budget your finance team can convert.

n8n's docs describe the choice in two parts: Cloud or self-hosted first, then the plan or edition. They also name the pricing page as the definitive source for prices, so check it live before you commit a number.

On currency, an n8n community staff reply from January 2026 says subscriptions are billed in euros by default and the card issuer converts to local currency. So your rupee cost depends on your bank's rate and fees. That is a forum answer, not policy documentation, and it does not mention India, GST or card fees.

Cloud or self-hosted, then which plan

For n8n pricing in India, the hosting question comes first. Self-hosted n8n without a licence key is the free Community edition. Registering unlocks extra free features, while Business or Enterprise need a paid licence key. That edition ladder applies to self-hosted installs, not to Cloud.

The table shows the euro list prices on n8n's pricing page, billed annually. The Business plan is self-hosted only, with Cloud hosting on a waitlist, so the Cloud options are Starter, Pro or Enterprise. Availability may change, so verify it.

Some features sit behind a paid plan or edition, including SSO (SAML, LDAP), environments, projects and Git version control, according to n8n's docs; that list is partial. Queue mode is included in the base product. We'd skip budgeting for Business until a concrete need such as SSO or Git version control appears.

Count executions before you count money

Envelopes on a conveyor passing a counter, showing that each full workflow run counts as one execution.

n8n bills by execution: one full workflow run, however many steps it has. n8n's own example is that a five-minute schedule produces roughly 8,600 to 8,900 executions a month, which would already exceed Starter's 2.5K allowance.

That is n8n's illustration, so take your real volume from your own execution logs. n8n's method adds up schedule runs, webhook events and conversations multiplied by messages.

Overage works differently by tier. Business and Enterprise self-hosted licence keys report usage to n8n daily. Going over quota does not stop workflows, but charges may apply; for Business the page lists 4,000 EUR per extra bucket of 300,000 executions. The page does not state Cloud Starter or Pro overage behaviour.

CloudZero, a cost-management vendor, said in September 2026 that unused executions do not roll over. By its analysis, a team using 1,200 of Starter's 2,500 executions pays double the per-run list rate. Its plan prices differ from n8n's page, so treat it as a vendor view.

Self-hosting inputs: placeholders, not benchmarks

n8n's docs recommend self-hosting mainly for expert users and warn that mistakes can cause data loss, security issues and downtime. Its Hetzner guide uses SQLite by default and describes the CPX11 server as enough for most usage, with 4 GB RAM and 2 vCPU if you add the n8n Assistant. It gives no server prices or India-region data.

Cost figures come only from community and vendor sources. They are anecdotal, mostly EU-hosted, and none is for India. The table attributes each one.

Several of these posts also list n8n Cloud prices that differ from the official page, which is another reason to treat them as placeholders. We'd be wary of anchoring on a four-dollar server price, because it covers only part of what running your own instance costs.

A budgeting routine for an Indian team

A clipboard of ticked boxes beside coins, showing the steps that turn an execution estimate into a budget.

These steps are our editorial suggestion, not a validated method. They turn the documented structure into a monthly figure.

  1. Estimate monthly executions from schedules, webhooks and conversations.
  2. Pick the smallest Cloud plan that fits, or Community self-hosting.
  3. Take the EUR price from the live pricing page.
  4. Convert at your bank's rate and add card fees and tax after checking with finance.
  5. For self-hosting, add server quotes, backups, monitoring and staff time.
  6. Add Business or Enterprise only for a named feature need.

Here is an editorial worked example, not a measured result. Suppose one workflow runs on a 5-minute schedule. n8n's own estimate is about 8,600 to 8,900 executions a month, which is above Starter's 2.5K allowance but within Pro's 10K. On the annual-billing list prices, Pro at 50€ a month is the smaller fit, against 20€ for Starter.

For n8n pricing in India, the euro figure is the fixed part. The conversion step is where the unknown sits: multiply 50€ by your card issuer's rate, which we cannot state because the community staff reply only says the issuer converts. Other workflows add to the count, so Pro's 10K leaves limited headroom.

We think Cloud is the safer default for a team without Linux and Docker skills, and self-hosting earns its place only when you can budget real ops time.
